After 25-year-old Crystal Harris’ change of heart, his dumped fiancée Playboy founder Hugh Hefner , 85, will now change a part of the cover of the upcoming Playboy magazine. A”Runaway Bride” sticker will be affixed on the cover of the magazine’s next issue after they cancelled their wedding ceremony this Saturday at the Playboy mansion.
Harris appears on the cover of the July Playboy issue with the title of “America’s Princess … Introducing Mrs. Crystal Hefner.” But with their separation, Hefner has decided to just put an accurate tag to remedy the situation. The issue will be out on Friday but the sticker will only be on newsstand copies since they have already emailed the issues to the subscribers.
In an interview with Ryan Seacrest, Harris said the reason she called off the wedding was because she realized she would never be able to adjust his different lifestyle.
“I called it off because I didn’t think it was the right thing for me to do,” she said on Wednesday. “Hef’s lifestyle isn’t the most normal lifestyle. This isn’t the lifestyle for me, multiple girls all around. It’s not the lifestyle I wanted.”
“For a while I’ve been having second thoughts about everything. I haven’t really been at peace with myself lately. I didn’t think it was really fair to him,” she said in the radio interview. “It was all happening too fast for me. …. Was this what I wanted?”
This would have been Hefner’s third marriage . His first wife was Mildred William where he has two children and ex-playmate Kimberly Conrad. Both ended in divorce. Hefner and Harris met in a Halloween party on 2008. After a few weeks Harris moved to the Playboy mansion and became Playboy’s Playmate of the Month in December 2009.
The former couple denied reports that they had nasty argument over the phone before the breakup.
Harris said Hefner understood her position. “It was mutual between Hef and I,” she said. “We both agreed that it wasn’t the best idea to get married. He was doing it for me because he thought it was what I wanted.”
It was also alleged that Harris wanted a music career and bigger allowance. Whether it was intentional or not, Harris recently released her song on ITunes. Harris also denied allegations that a third party caused the breakup. It was rumored to be Jordan McGraw, the son of TV personality Dr. Phil.
Despite their separation, Harris said Hefner is fine. “I feel happy and at peace that everything will be OK,” she said. “I respect him more than anything, and we’re still going to be really close.”
Now that the Playboy magnate is single again, he will be not short in looking for potential next Mrs. Hefner with all those girls hanging out at his Playboy Mansion.
