In a recent interview Conaway’s spokesperson, Phil Brock, shared that the late star’s blood exams revealed “cocktails of pain killers and cold medicines” in his system. He was then diagnosed with pneumonia that led to sepsis because his immunity was already so weak to further battle the systemic bacterial invasion.

He was still in coma when mechanical life support was attached to him. After his family were given advice that there is little possibility for the celebrity to regain his consciousness, they decided to take take it off him.

Ever since Conaway had an accident while filming his famous movie “Grease”, he underwent many surgeries involving his back which led to his dependence on pain killers. He even joined in the television series “Celebrity Rehab with Doctor Drew” which, like the title already said it, is focused on the struggles of famous people trying to fight their addictions. And just last year, he experienced a really bad fall that broke the bones if his hip and arms, misaligned his neck, and had him suffering a brain hemorrhage.

To quote Doctor Drew’s statement release in line with this unfortunate event he stated that, “There is no evidence showing Jeff died from an overdose. This was aspiration with overwhelming pneumonia and sepsis. Jeff is another example of a pharmaceutical death from the overutilization of prescription drugs. Please continue to pray for his friends and family. They appreciate your support.”

Conaway hit it big time in Hollywood when he starred in  the film adaptation of “Grease” (originally a broadway musical) in 1978 along side John Travolta and Olivia Newton-John. Conaway’s co-stars in his shows back then are really sad to hear his passing. They are praying for his soul and for the family Conaway left that they may remain strong and united despite losing one of their loved ones.
