Don’t celebrities make losing weight look like it’s as simple as a walk in the park? In a moment, they are the headline news because they are carrying that excess baggage. The next thing you’ll know, pictures of them sporting tiny bikinis in the beach are circulating all over the place.
But in reality, they too have to work like normal people to maintain that healthy weight we are all aiming for. They may even work on it double time if a role demands for immediate results. The only difference is that they have all these experts (personal trainers, nutritionists) to assist and guide them to do the regimen correctly. And this can be quiet expensive though. Knowing this, can normal girls ever have a chance at a celebrity weight loss transformation?
That’s why we are here to search for the answer. So we collaborated with Doctor Wayne Andersen (wrote the book, “Dr. A’s Habits of Health” and created the “Take Shape for Life”) and Doctor Eric Braverman (wrote the book, “Younger/Sexier You) to help us peel the “skinny” on the 10 worth trying celebrity weight loss secrets.
KELLY OSBOURNE
Her weight loss is categorized as healthy. According to Andersen she followed the three simple tasks: eating healthily, kept moving, and had enough sleep. To make this more clear, implement portion control with your food, constant exercise, and get at least 7 hours of sleep every night. Expected weight loss: two to five pounds per week.
JESSICA SIMPSON
She is the sweetheart of the tabloids. We are not sure though if she feels the same. Every time she gains a little weight, paparazzis are quick to print her and call her fat. For a girl whose standing shorter than the average woman is, it is in fact harder to lose the weight than gain it. Andersen suggests to just remember “BeSLIM” which corresponds to:
B stands for breakfast and it is the most important meal of the day. According to a survey done by the National Weight Control Registry, those individuals who constantly took breakfast every morning had better control over their weight.
E stands for exercise. This is quiet obvious though. When one takes calories in, in order for it not to be stored as fat, it has to be taken out as well. And regular exercise throughout the week is the way to do it.
S stands for support. This can either be obtained from a friend, a buddy, a trainer, support groups, or online. This is especially helpful on days when you feel like cuddling in your bed instead of going to the gym.
L stands for low fat and constant serving of six small meals in a day. This strategy is proven to be effective since hunger pangs are very well in control in this. Also, the possibility of fat storage is slim because the body constantly burns the small portion meals aw well as providing you with constant supply of energy.
I stands for individual approach towards weight loss. A weight loss program may work for someone else, but its no guarantee that it will impose the same results to you as well. That’s why it better to create your weight loss strategy around your lifestyle. For example, preparing and bringing of healthy snacks or even the whole meal to work so that you won’t have to buy and be tempted by high fat foods being served in the cafeteria.
M is for monitoring your weight and waist circumference on a weekly basis. You can also plot the results on the graph so that you can easily see if you are losing or gaining weight.
