Angelina Jolie cleared the rumor circulating last month after she was seen with a seventh map coordinate tattoo on her left arm. The six tattoos had been of the birthplaces of her children, biological and adopted, so people were eager to know who the seventh addition would be.
Jolie set the record straight on May 12, 2011 at the photo call for her new movie during the Cannes Film Festival. Dressed in a belted beige chiffon Salvatore Ferragamo cocktail dress, Angelina told Extra that the tattoo was an ode to Brad’s birthplace and not a new child.
“Well, if they know that it’s latitude and longitude, they would have figured out quickly that it was Brad’s birthplace. It doesn’t take much investigation to figure that one out. It’s Shawnee, Oklahoma.”
The seventh map coordinates tattoo was first seen while she was doing her humanitarian work at a refugee camp close to the Tunisia-Libya border. Jolie has been a UN Goodwill Ambassador of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) also known as The UN Refugee Agency. There she met many displaced people and talked to officials and also helped ease the suffering of people in the area through contributions made by her Jolie-Pitt foundation. Unfortunately at that time people seemed to care more about the new tattoo than her humanitarian work.
Angelina has six map coordinate tattoos on her left arm which were symbolic of the birthplaces of her children; nine-year-old Maddox from Cambodia, seven-year-old Pax from Vietnam, six-year-old Zahara from Ethiopia, four-year-old Shiloh from Namibia and two-year-old twins Vivienne and Knox born in France. The seventh is an ode for Brad Pitt’s birthplace in Shawnee, Oklahoma.
Brad and Angelina had long been followed by people’s eyes especially after Brad Pitt had a divorce with wife and longtime girlfriend, and powerful A list star, Jennifer Aniston. Rumors of Brad leaving Jen for Jolie came out after their meeting on the set of the movie Mr. and Mrs. Smith which was shown seven years ago. Brad and Jolie have been together since Brad’s break up with Jen and have been together since. Of the six kids, three are Jolie and Pitt’s biological children.
Till now stories of the Brangelina and Jennifer Aniston love triangle isn’t over. Every year is like a new story of Brad and Angelina breaking up with Jennifer having the last laugh or Brad being in Jen’s arms again. Rumors of a split have been circulating since Brad and Jolie were said to have had a heated argument in a restaurant when they were with friends and charity members January of a year ago. People now would even think that the tattoo is either an ode for Brad or it is a way to cling to Brad and save their relationship. Whatever the truth is, no one will ever know unless it goes out since all of the three have lived very private lives even when under the eyes of the media and people everywhere.
