After being engaged to her boyfriend of six months, Kim Kardashian is on the headlines once again and it is not because of her clothes, fashion sense and endorsements. Kim Kardashian is threatening to sue In Touch Weekly magazine for running a story that she has been cheating on her fiancé Kris Humphries.
In Touch Weekly magazine has Kim on the cover page of their magazine with the words “STOP THE WEDDING! KIM CAUGHT CHEATING!” It had the picture of the other man on the cover with words: 5 month affair with NFL Star Bret Lockett behind fiancé Kris’ back; Kinky texts and wild phone sex; He slams her wedding plans: “I hope she’s happy.”
Kim wasn’t very happy with the magazine and plans to sue both sue In Touch Weekly magazine for defamation and Bret Lockett for shooting off his mouth. After rumors of Kim being pregnant, the cheating allegations came.
Kim’s lawyer Dennis Roach already sent a letter sternly warning the magazine to not run the story saying that the claims of her cheating, “are, at a minimum, damaging, defamatory, and an invasion of her privacy.” Still the magazine didn’t heed the warning and still ran the article in their latest issue. The magazine hit retailers on its release on Wednesday.
The story of Kim’s affair started when Kim’s friend Lauren London told Colin (Bret’s brother) that Kim wanted Bret’s phone number. According to the magazine, the exchange of flirtatious messages then started with Bret saying, “I knew this was a game to her, and this is what she does.” Bret added, “She pursued me.” Bret claimed to still have the text messages even a picture of Kim’s famous behind sent to him.
Kim has denied the allegations and told E! News, “This is absolutely not true. I have no idea who this person is.”
Kim Kardashian was previously involved with New Orleans Saint’s Reggie Bush and with her history of dating black men; people might not find it hard to believe the story especially when her leaked sex tape was her doing a black guy. Kim’s sister Khloe is also married to a black athlete, Lamar Odom. Black men seem to be a Kardashian preference.
Kim tweeted this on Wednesday, “Remember, people only rain on your parade because they’re jealous of your sun & tired of their shade,” inciting the probability for people to use her name and fame to achieve their own heights. Kim previously had another encounter with a magazine that ran a story saying that she was pregnant.
The letter from Kim’s lawyer said, “For the record, none of the facts … are accurate.” The magazine was fabricating a story to attract people and increase their sales. Roach also added that the magazine should, “immediately refrain from publishing, distributing or disseminating any factually untrue and unsubstantiated information,” or he “will be forced to take appropriate legal action to protect my client’s rights.”
