Did publicity-hungry Kim Kardashian staged her own wedding to Kris Humphries? Yes, at least that is what her ex-publicist says so. After Kim’s 72 days, short-lived marriage to NBA player Humphries, Jonathan Jaxson said the reality star went through the wedding not for love, but for the cameras so it’s not a surprise to him when he heard of the divorce fallout.
Jaxson said the reality star “knew weeks before getting married she didn’t want to do it,” and added “She’s never gotten over [ex Reggie Bush].”
And he and Kim even staged a fake scene where Bush is proposing marriage to her in a jewelry store. “It was calculated to a T and then it was leaked to a magazine,” he told the Post. Jaxson said Bush did not know about the fake scene and it was one of the reasons that convinced the football star to break up with Kardashian.
Jaxson was also quoted as saying that fame was always Kardashian’s goal. Kim became famous because of her leaked sex tape and even though she did not stage that, she was not particularly devastated about it.
Kim’s mom Kris Jenner said the marriage was not fake and her daughter is devastated of the divorce. But reports have been speculating that even before the wedding Kris Humpries was having second thoughts on the marriage because of too much publicity. Even their honeymoon was sold to the newspapers for a hefty sum.
Kim said she is moving on and learned her lesson that she took everything too quickly. She also refuted reportd that her wedding is only for the cameras. She met Kris not more than a year before they were engaged, got married and divorced.
“I am trying not to read all the different media reports but it’s hard not to see all the negative ones,” Kardashian tweeted on Tuesday. “First and foremost, I married for love. I can’t believe I even have to defend this. I would not have spent so much time on something just for a TV show!”
But Kim also earned millions of dollars from TV and photo rights not only of her wedding preparations and ceremony itself but for her honeymoon as well. But Kim denied this Kardashian saying they are “simpy not true” and announced that she will be donating the money from her wedding gifts to the Dream Foundation.
