Penelope Cruz talks about being inlove with her Son0 Comments

Spanish actress Penelope Cruz may be a swashbuckling heroine in her latest Pirates movie but she couldn’t keep herself from crying when talking about her newborn baby boy. Cruz who gave birth on January 22 breaks down during her Vogue interview when asked about her feelings the moment she saw her son’s face. She calls him “Beautiful Leonardo”.

“From the first second, you feel so much love,” she tells the magazine’s June issue. “It is a revolutionary experience. That’s the best way I can describe it. It transforms you completely, in a second. Nature is very wise and gives you nine months to prepare, but in that moment, when you see that face, you are transformed forever.”

Cruz’s close friend Salma Hayek reveals that the actress is a natural when it comes to raising a child. “Penelope is a motherly creature, a warrior by nature,” Hayek tells Vogue. “I told her that little boy is the luckiest boy in the world.”

 

Despite their fame, Cruz will make sure that she and husband Javier Bardem, 42, give baby Leo a normal life.

“I want my son — and my kids if I have more — to grow up in a way that is as anonymous as possible,” Cruz says. “The fact that his father and I have chosen to do the work that we do doesn’t give anybody the right to invade our privacy.”

Cruz, 37 co-stars with her longtime friend Johnny Depp in the fourth installment “On Stranger Tides” of the successful Pirates of the Carribean franchise. She plays Angelica, the daughter of Johnny Depp’s nemesis Blackbeard. Pregnancy didn’t get in the way of her shooting for the film as her sister takes on some of the sword-fighting and stunt scenes.

Much of On Stranger Tides was filmed in Hawaii, where his husband fellow Spanish Actor Javier Bardem joined Cruz on location.  “On Stranger Tide” is Cruz’s most expensive movie to date.

When asked how much work will she take on now that she is a mother, Cruz says “Of course I will work, because we all need to work,” she says. “But it’s very important to have time with my family.”

But for now she is touring the world to promote her movie with costar Depp.   During an appearance at the Cannes Film Festival to promote the movie, Cruz is youthful appearance didn’t fail to be noticed.  The actress that being Spanish taught her not to be obsessed with eternal youth.  She says she has no plans to turn to Botox doctors and plastic surgeons, but content to let nature take its course.

Cruz is the last person in the world who needs plastic surgery to enhance her looks; motherly love and an adoring husband is more than enough to keep her youthful glow.
