‘Real Housewives’ estranged husband commits suicide0 Comments

In a tragedy Monday night, Russel Armstrong,  the estranged husband of “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” cast member Taylor Armstrong was found dead in an apparent suicide by his roommate in their Los Angeles home. No suicide note was found but the victim is said to be undergoing marital and financial problems. He is 47.

A person close to the family said Taylor Armstrong “is hysterical, and can barely speak. She has no idea why Russell would do this. She doesn’t know how she is going to be able to tell her daughter, Kennedy.”While the Real Housewives star’s rep issued this statement, “Taylor Armstrong is devastated by the tragic events that have unfolded. She requests privacy at this time so that she may comfort her young daughter. Her thoughts and prayers are also with Russell’s 11- and 13-year-old sons.”

Taylor and Russel marital troubles was all documented in the reality show. Taylor accused her husband of battery and abuse even though his husband denied most of it. The estranged couple who have filed for divorce citing irreconcilable differences is also facing a  $1.5 million law suit by MyMedicalRecords.com.  Russell Armstrong, an investment banker, had been “dealing with a lot of financial stress” at the time of his death.

His attorney, Ronald Richards said that “I feel bad because his credit cards weren’t working. … He had tremendous financial problems. … As far as a will, even if he does have a will, they don’t have any assets, so I’m not sure what there would be left to leave.”

Bravo,the producer of Real Housewives issued a statement said this statement: “All of us at Bravo are deeply saddened by this tragic news.  Our sympathy and thoughts are with the Armstrong family at this difficult time.”Before his death, Russel Armstrong was plagued with legal ang personal problems. In 1995, he was charged with felony tax evasion and in 1997, he was arrested and charged with misdemeanor spousal battery and battery over an alleged altercation with then-wife Barbara Ann Armstrong.

Though his family was aware of his troubles, they did not expect that this will lead to Russel taking his own life. He is survived by his wife, their daughter and two sons from previous relationship.
