Marie Osmond wore the same Ret Turner wedding gown, one with the long sleeves and full skirt just like that of Kate Middleton’s, the same one she was wearing when they first married in 1982. She didn’t plan to wear the dress but she said she accidentally found it. Marie said, “I was cleaning out my garage and all of a sudden this box showed up in this pile of stuff … and it was this dress and it was five days ago. I’m not kidding”

They were married for three years then had a divorce in 1985, she was 22 and Craig was 25.  Marie is now 51 and Stephen 54. They have a son Stephen who is now 28 years old.  They chose to get married on that special day because May 4 was the birthdays of Marie’s late son Michael Bryan Blosil and her deceased mother Olive. Marie said, “It was important that both Michael and my mom were with us on this special day.”

Marie has seven other children from her second husband Brian Blosil, a music producer; 2 biological and the other 5 adopted.

Michael died on February 2010 after jumping off the eight floor of his LA apartment building.  Osmond and Blosil married in October 1986 and divorced after almost 20 years together, on March 2007.

The wedding was a private ceremony attended by some friends and family.  Marie’s brother Donny described the wedding as “a last minute thing … Not very many people knew about it”. The wedding reception was held in their home in Nevada.

Craig was a professional basketball player and is now a motivational speaker traveling from country to country.  Marie and Stephen reconvened a year after Michael’s death and rumors of a wedding happened that time too. A tabloid said on March 2010 “Stephen helped Marie pull through [after Michael's death] … He asked her to marry him and she’s accepted.”

On their first marriage Stephen said, “Getting married, I don’t think was very difficult at all. We had courted for several years and got to know each other very well. I don’t think that changeover was as difficult as becoming a parent.”

Marie has this to say today, “I am so happy and look forward to sharing my life with Stephen, who is an amazing man as well as a great father to my children.”

Donny, Marie’s brother also said this to Entertainment Tonight, “It was a perfect Cinderella story with a fairytale ending. They were sealed together again, forever.”

Though many Hollywood skeptics do not believe in remarriage, many still wish them well believing that people do change especially after 30 years.
