Brazilian Supermodel Gisele Bundchen is on her way to making not just millions but billions of dollars through her stardom and numerous business ventures. Forbes Magazine has named Bundchen as the highest-earning supermodel in seven straight years.
Bundchen, 30 is the epitome of girl empowerment as she is the first Brazilian woman to become part of the billionaires club. Bundchen’s empire includes her line of sandals by synthetic footwear maker Grendene which rival the famous Havaianas.And instead of lending her name to companies, she owns stakes in the maker of her lingerie brand Giselle Bundchen Brazilian Intimates. She also has her own ecofriendly skincare line called Sejaa Pure Skincare.
But don’t think Gisele is all about earning money. Bündchen lends her support and image to a number of charities and humanitarian causes, such as the I am African campaign she also lend her face to American Express Red Card, an initiative launched by U2 front man Bono and Bobby Shriver to send a percentage of monies earned from the financial transactions of this credit card to Africa’s HIV/AIDS victims. She is also a goodwill ambassador for the UN Environment Programme.
The supermodel turned businesswoman is married to New England Patriots quarterback husband Tom Brady and they have a 18-month-old son, Benjamin.
Heidi Klum stripping down to promote “Project Runway”
Meanwhile, fellow supermodel Heidi Klum is getting naked as part of the promotion for Lifetime’s “Project Runway.”
The fashion competition is in its ninth season, and this series theme is embracing the contemporary woman. Klum’s desicion to strip for the show was announced by Lifetime’s President and General Manager Nancy Dubuc.
Klum hails from Germany and her modeling stint includes being a cover model for Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue and Victoria’s Secret as one of their angels. “Project Runway” was launched in 2004 in Bravo and Klum served as host, judge and executive producer of the show since it’s beginning. It switched network to lifetime in 2009 and this summer, the show will have fan favorites from past seasons come back to compete with each other.
Klum designed clothing lines, shoes for Birkenstock, jewellery for Mouawad, a clothing line for Jordache, and swimsuits – featured in the 2002 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue.
The German supermodel is married to English musician Seal. They have threes sons together but Klum has a son with a former boyfriend whom Seal legally adopted in 2009.
