Whenever Twilight star Robert Pattinson goes, a legion of fans mostly ladies are screaming their head off to be close to the actor. But Pattinson, who plays the vampire Edward in the Twilight Saga says he has insecurity with co-star Taylor Lautner.
“Here’s (co-star) Taylor Lautner and he has a six-pack,” he grinned. “It’s pure vanity. You’re thinking of sexual positions which don’t involve showing off (much).”
That is why he has to learned how to position himself in a love scene co-star/girlfriend Kristen Stewart so that he can hide hisless-than-perfect assets.
Pattinson also said that he has a lots of common with his fans. “I don’t know what’s happened to me recently,” he joked with TODAY’s Ann Curry on Thursday. “I can’t look in a mirror without crying.”
Pattinson also told Anne Curry of TODAY Show that the security surrounding the wedding and the wedding dress itself was insane. Although he has seen her in the dress prior to filming his catsmates wasn’t. “There was so much secrecy about it,” he said. “I don’t know why … it’s a white dress.”
And what was one of the things that he realized while filming the wedding scene? “You suddenly realize the role of the groom in the wedding is that of a prop.”
If Pattinson is vain about showing his body, co-star Lautner, who spent much of his time shirtless in the film, ( much to the delight of his female fans) said he spent less time shirtless in the new movie.
And Lautner says he wasn’t shy about being shirtless; adding “I was lucky in this one, because I’m shirtless a lot less than (co-stars) Rob (Pattinson) and Kristen (Stewart).”
He warned fans that he will be different in the new film. “My character grows up in this one and becomes a lot more mature.
The second to the last film of the hugely successful Twilight Series, “Breaking Dawn Part 1” will debut in theaters on Nov. 18. The second installment and last film in the series will come out a year after so fans have to wait for the ending of an extraordinary love between a vampire and human.
